Getting it together

With the prospect of building a rocket stove pretty soon, I took up the task of constructing a sifter. There is a lot of native soil, clay, and sand here (we live by a beautiful creek) so we need something that will hold up a lot better than the last one we had. As you might know Dear Reader, a good formula is well blended and easy to find depending on where you are. But I’m sure that if you live in an urban area, there are other materials that you could be using for your Rocket Stove.

Here’s a photo of the top and bottom view of the finished product: P1020077 P1020076

With this we’ll be able to sift the large and even really small stones and debris from mixing in with the minerals that we will want to use for the Stove/Oven. Thank You Dear Reader for stopping by!
