Problem fixin’

I’ve been learning a lot about how great the soil is around here and how there is a bit of a nitrogen problem. But I have found the Legume family ‘tree’ is part of a Nitrogen fixing family. During the last week, a friend brought some seed from a public park that are of the Legume genus and we planted them to see what we could accomplish by having some of these guys help out fixing some of the problems we currently have. We are trying to rebuild the soil that has been contaminated by garbage from a logging company, so it is quite literally an uphill battle right now.

This is a photo of some of the little trees/bushes that we were able to germinate! It’s pretty cool. In the bottom photo, you can see one way in the back. P1020006P1020004
